THE KIDS ARE NOT ALWAYS ALRIGHT

I know the title is a bit off my dear readers but maybe that is because I have been a bit "off" for the past couple weeks or so.

Show of hands all the people who get into a little state of depression on or around their birthday. Well, I do sometimes. And I really don't know the reason.

Going up in age comes with more responsibilities, and those add pressure from your personal goals and the expectancies that others have of you. "So when are you going to have kids?" is the inevitable question they ask of young women. Don't know they realize that getting pregnant is not even a quarter of the battle? The people who want you to have kids probably won't be there for you when you need a night out on the town to get rid of stress. But they'll show up to the birthday celebrations and still find time to critique your parenting abilities. TO HELL WITH THEM I SAY! Have your children on your own terms; however, if they happen to pop up before time, make the decision that is right for you and your partner only.

Some people just don't understand that doing things to the best of one's ability is different from being an overachiever. When did mediocrity become widely acceptable?

Following instrcutions isn't that hard... Or is it? We all make mistakes sometimes, after all we aren't programmed against them.

What can one do when they are desired by the fairer sex?: I'mm tell ya, just roll with the punches, laugh it off, don't get caught up in the hype, don't engage in faux lesbianism (if there is such a thing), or just ignore the advances.

How to handle Facebook gangsters?: Laugh at them and post stuff on their post that'll be sure to piss them off without being offensive. FB GANGSTERS ARE NOT COOL!

I DRINK, THEREFORE I THINK

How necessary will it be to be able to travel back in time? I think most of us would only modify all the stuff we consider to be bad and allow the good ones to take place. But would modifying the bad alter the happening of the good? Sounds philosophical but I haven't read the Philosophy books that I own as yet, so all this wondering is coming from a random state of mind.

I would like to be similar to that famous author who sat on the beaches of Cuba sipping mojitos and just doing his thing but I am beginning to wonder if deep down I am afraid that I'll produce a masterpiece that will be part of the required semester reading in universities. Ambition much?

Had to mention that Jigga Man is doing it big for the 2010. News outlets are reporting that a memoit that'll possibly be titled "Decoded" is slated to be released in November of this year. I hope so. Could it be in the same vane of the Wu Manual?
